Bellagio's Maxwell of Cabin View is a stunning Jr. Herdsire born in the Spring of 2010. His sire Bel Canto's Bellagio is a Blue Ribbon and Reserve Champion winner. His Dam, Skyeview Morning Glory has produced many award winning offspring as well as several Produce of Dam awards. His fleece is everything one could ask for - dense, crimpy and bright, as well as extraordinary staple length. HUDSON the automobile was - "a remarkable achievement at a time" because there were hundreds of makes being marketed..... And so it goes - HUDSON of CABIN VIEW is a remarkable achievement. He is a true, true black, with a fleece that you want to bury your head in. Everyone states that the fleece on their alpacas are fine, bright, crimpy, etc. Well the handle and brightness of the fleece on this guy is the real thing. We are looking forward to HUDSON as an up and coming herdsire star. Hudson's 1st offspring hit the ground mid-August 2017. Cutest little true black little girl with extreme fineness. His 1st cria for Cabin View Alpacas is due by the end of May 2018. The combination of genetics between Hudson and the expectant Mom - Cinder, is incredible. Can't wait to see the results. XXXtreme Xclipse has received 4 Judge's choices and 8 color championships including 2013 Futurity. Xclipse spent the summer, a couple years ago, in Oregon at Amanda VandenBosch's farm, Flying Dutchman Alpacas. Amanda loves this male and bought 12 breedings for her own herd. He is one of a kind. Norm Evans did a skin biopsy on Xclipse in April 2013. His true density is 89.5 follicles SQ MM of skin. One hundred secondary fibers averaged 17.1 microns while 50 primary fibers averaged only 22.8 microns. This equates to a mincron variation of only 5.7 microns. His density, gland presence, fineness of both secondary and primary fibers as along with narrow spread place Xclipse in the top 1% of males evaluated by Norm Evans. We have been extremely pleased with the cria/offspring he is producing for us. Keep an eye on Bobbi Sox in the 2022/2023 show seasons. Apollo is everything a breeder could ask for. He is a sweet, docile male with impeccable conformity. His fleece is pretty amazing - soft, bright, and crimpy! He exhibits a fine fleece, with exceptional uniformity. Apollo is bringing everything to the table with his genetics - grandson of the infamous Jamanji and Lancaster. Born late in 2017 he did not make any of the 2018 Spring Shows, but started showing his true "colors" in the Spring of 2019. He did extremely well bringing home banners that made us proud. (UPDATE - Due to COVID-19 Apollo was unable to finish out his show career in style) NOTE: When he was not bringing home 1st or banners, it should be noted that Apollo was standing proud in the front row against two of the top and finest (pun intended) farms in the country.

Zatanna the Majestic Magician sure worked her magic this time. Marvel is one handsome, true black young male. Perfect in stature and oh! the fleece. His handle is, pardon the pun, marvel-ous. He also carries fineness, density, brightness and a nice crimp. He hails from some mighty marvel-ous lines - Snowmass Enlightened, LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight, 5C's Captain Midnight and Jeremiah - just to mention a few. Marvel just settled his first gal - June 2021. We are excited to see the offspring he produces. Marvel will be an asset to any farm's breeding program.

We may regret this, but we made the tough decision to offer Starz XX for sale. He is co-owned with Autumn Mist Alpacas, Virginia Breeze Alpacas and Cabin View Alpacas, and with the upcoming herdsires available on each farm, there are not enough females to keep Starz happy. Starz XX does not have a show record, as he was "lost" in the throngs of the Snowmass pastures, but a treasure was discovered during the move East. Since he was "discovered", he has produced some outstanding offspring including CVAF Almond Joy who just won (2) 1st's and Color Championship at the 2024 North Carolina Spring Shows. Holy Mackerel! Talk about making an appearance. June Bug presented us with another fine cria the summer of 2013 - a medium brown male out of Snowmass XXXtreme. You can see him shine and admire his crimpy fleece as you walk in the barn. If you are looking for a Jr. Herdsire with America's top genetics, look no further. Storm is sporting the Snomass XXXtreme line on the top and the Jericho line from his dam. Playboy has won many Color Championships, including three All American Futurity Color Champions while Jericho, of course, is an alpaca superstar, achieving many award winning accomplishments and the producer of countless champion offspring. Named after the Franklin Automobile: Franklin was a luxury brand and competed with other upscale automobiles of the day. Franklin of Cabin View was named appropriately. Franklin has terrific fleece, sporting a fine micron and an impressive CV. He is extremely soft, nice handle and his fleece is bright and shiny. Check out his 2016 histogram on our website. With all his admirable traits, Franklin does have a while spot on his left thigh. As Cabin View Alpacas is extremely critical of whom we bred our champion females to, Franklin doesn't quite make the cut for us. But... he has the genetics and the fleece to be an excellent Jr. Herdsire for the right farm, or purchase Franklin and use his fantastic fleece in your fiber program. Skyliner has some pretty terrific genetics in his background, starting with TKO's King of the Ladies. His dam is no slouch either, bringing to the table the Accoyo America Maximilian genes with a 0.0% over 30, just to mention one trait. Skyliner is a handsome young male with some pretty fantastic genetics. Histogram for 2015 shows an 18.5 micron. Skyliner has a nice disposition and would be perfect to enhance anyone’s farm. NEWSFLASH!!!!! Entered Jasper in the AOA National Fleece Show - Cottage Fleece. He took first in class and highest score for Lights. UPDATE: Just skirted his fleece and it is magnificent. Jasper of Cabin View is a wonderful yearling male. His sire is the infamous Beethoven's Dorian and his Dam is the award winning VAF Peruvian Texas May. Jasper has perfect conformity and his fleece is extremely bright, crimpy, with nice character and density. On top of all these great characteristics, Jasper is a laid back, gentle boy. OMG!!!! Meet Midnight Madness out of our own Liberty Belle - Libby, and Cinco 5C's Captain Midnight. Expecting to see a black cria from a true black sire and dark brown dam, we were quite surprised to see such a light colored baby running around in the paddock at midnight. OMG carries all the fine characteristics of his great genetic background. We are only offering him as a fiber/pet male, as he doesn't quite meet the requirements of our breeding program. Is he nice? You bet! And what are the odds he will throw a dark color? Don't overlook this fine male. (Check out his 2018 histogram)

DORIAN'S INFERNO - Ferny Born on one of the hottest days of 2016. Ferny was our first experience with "ropes". When we found them on his neck, it felt like he had swallowed balers twine and it had wrapped around inside. After consulting with other farms, we were told it was a sign of density. And man - they weren't kidding! Ferny is an extremely handsome male - with conformity dead on, and a wonderful silky feeling fleece. As he is sporting a very broad crimp, and with the greasy/silky feel, it makes us think he may actually be a "silkie". Why would we sell him as a pet/fiber male? Well, he has never been shown so we don't know what the judges actually think about a "silkie", and we need to make room.

Rambler is a handsome, extremely gently, true black male. His fleece has a low micron for a true black with a soft and luscious handle. Rambler did not make the 2018 show string, as his fleece does not have the crimp that is expected to place well in the ring. However, we think he is pretty special and experience has taught us that his next years fleece will be something special. In the meantime, he is going to be the producer of some superior yarn. The bottom line......don't overlook the possibilities!

Really pleased so far with this young male - an XXXtreme Xclipse/Jeremiah cross. His Dam, Easy to Imagine, does not disappoint! Her second exceptional cria! (see his half-brother Harlem of Cabin View). Born during an extreme heatwave in July of 2018, he didn't let the heat "stunt" his growth. He has a uniform, fine but dense fleece, with extremely long staple length. His handle is scrumptious. Heatwave will make a wonderful herdsire for any seed stock farm, especially a farm just starting out in this crazy alpaca world. Text, email or message for more information on Heatwave. Perry is a pleasure to have around, and has grown into a well proportioned, good looking alpaca. Born from outstanding genetics, we feel he does not quite meet the standards for our breeding program, but close. Perry would be a perfect fit for an upscale fiber program, or even a start-up farm as a Jr. Herdsire. Don't over look the possibilities. After all - his sire is XXXtreme Xclipse and his dam hails from STF Jetson.

Revere - in honor of his dam - Liberty Belle We are not sure yet about Revie. He has perfect conformity, a handsome head, but we are not convinced his fleece will have all the attributes required to be a herdsire on our farm, although it is very nice. So.....grab him today as a fiber male or as a Jr. Herdsire - as his fleece will not let you down in that category. Once we see what grows in after his first shearing, we may be changing our tune.

Snappy is a sweet young male, 1st born out of our Ginger Spice. Snappy was born late in the year, so he was never cria clipped, and therefore his first fleece was a "hot mess". But, even though it was full of VM, once out on the skirting table it was really quite nice, and had all the attributes of an awesome fleece. As he develops into a young male, he looks better and better all the time. Thinking he may be a slow starter, but in the end....... He would make a terrific Jr. Herdsire for a young farm. Don't overlook Snappy!!! So, stay tuned.

LOHDI A nice young male, sired by Dorian's 24 Karat, with Legionnaire, Jumanji, Lancaster and of course Dorian to back him up! We are anticipating he will grow into a solid male with outstanding attributes. Watching..........

BLACKJACK - a game of luck. And we won! This magnificent male at the tender age of 8 months, with no cria shearing, entered the showring and did extremely well (see awards section). Sired by Black Dynamo from the Snowmass Midnight Diamante line, combined with his dam from the Jeremiah/Jericho lineage, he brings the best of the best to the table. Keep an eye on this young male to see what the future may bring.

STORY-TIME - Not going to tell a story here. We are impressed with this young male. His real story is Beethoven's Dorian combined with CCNF Legionnaire to tell an amazing tale. With an awesome handle, bright as can be, fine and luxurious, Story has it all. His first show he took first in class and RC against a very competitive line-up, at only 8 months of age. Let's see what the future holds.

SKY ROCKET Another 4th of July Firecracker!!!! Sky Rocket is going to live up to his name. Bursting with top line genetics - Zagato, Beethoven and Xclipse to name drop a few. Although a fading fawn, not cherished by all the judges, he still did quite well in his first round of shows as a juvi. We are looking forward to the progression of this nice male.

OAKLEY Oakley is quickly proving himself to be an outstanding young male, backed by an exceptional genetic foundation. He is the offspring of Sophia of Bel Canto and StrongShephard Juno—both award-winning alpacas during their show careers and proven producers of champion offspring. Oakley made his show-ring debut in the Spring of 2026, competing alongside some of the finest alpacas from one of the country’s top farms. While he may have been standing beside them this time, we’re hoping that the next time around, Oakley will be standing above them in the lineup! ?? His conformation is strong and well-balanced, while his fleece is truly impressive—bright, soft, and a pleasure to put your hands on. What a surprise this little girl is. Wasn't expecting her to be so light in color, and it took her a few days to grow into her conformation - but now - OH YES!! Princess Ali is turning into quite a beauty - and she knows it! Her fleece is in little bundles, bright, fine and crimpy. I can't wait to see what it looks like as it continues to grow. Her Dam is Cherokee, a beautiful, full Peruvian female from an impressive lineage including PPeruvian Vengador, PPeruvian Caligula, Peruvian Bueno and PPPeruvian El Moustachio. She displays high frequency crimp and strong conformation which she passes on to her crias. Her Sire is LMFI and TNT Peruvian Nevada a rich dark fawn with a highly-advanced fleece exhibiting high-amplitude, high frequency crimp. His fleece is amazingly bright with incredible density and staple length packed on a solid frame with outstanding conformation. As a matter of fact, his fleece scored a perfect weight score of '20', which is very rare and the highest score that can be achieved. His awe inspiring ultra fine blanket extends all the way down his belly, with no detectable change past his knees and up his neck into his topknot. OH MY GOODNESS!! Sun Flower has the most amazing fleece. She has it all - crimp, brightness, density and handle - all with an extremely soft, silky feel. Sun Flower is sired by Snowmass Rising Sun, formerly of the Double O Good "Hall of Fame". On June 12, 2012, the alpaca world lost an incredible male - Rising Sun. He was an exclusive, rare combination of genetics with lineage from 6Peruvian Accoyo Elite, Snowmass Queschua, Hemingway, Augusto, Vengador and more. Because of Snowmass Rising Sun's untimely death at a young age, he only had a few cria on the ground - making FT Sun Flower a "limited edition". ****2019 UPDATE**** Sun Flower gave birth to a beautiful fawn female - Daphne (sire is Drifter of Cabin View). We think she's going to be a real head turner. Sun Flower would only be for sale to a special, caring, forever home. She is a joy to have around and her fleece is exceptionally nice.

OUR BEAUTIFUL JASMINE Jasmine is a lovely, white female born at Cabin View Alpacas in July of 2011. She is a big girl, leaving no doubt in our minds that she is going to be “one of a kind” foundation female. She is extremely gentle, easy to handle and a real pleasure to have on the farm. Jasmine's fleece is very bright with exceptional staple length and luster. Imagine our surprise when her blanket weight was ~5+ pounds, at only 10 months of age. Her fleece spun into a beautiful lace weight yarn, and in turn, gorgeous products. Jasmine’s sire is BEL CANTO'S BELLAGIO, a stunning, beige, ¾ Peruvian, ½ Accoyo, receiving top awards at prestigious shows such as Futurity, AOBA Nationals, NAAS and MAPACA, among others. Shadow Dancer is from the MFI incredible Jericho line. Her sire is MFI Peruvian Formula 1 the multiple-champion son of MFI Peruvian Jericho. Shadow Dancer's dam is the beautiful black female LMFI Peruvian Black Essence, daughter of Black Mesquite. The genetics of MFI Black Mesquite joined with the color genetics of MFI Peruvian Jericho created a dynamite black female. Shadow Dancer's fleece is soft and dense with an excellent crimp. Love this girl!!!! We have retired Shadow from our breeding program. She is for sale, only for her forever, loving home.

What can one say about Junebug?! We purchased Junebug in October 2011 to add to our list of fabulous foundation females. The three females crias that she produced before coming to Cabin View Alpacas are a testimony to the quality offspring she puts on the ground. Their fleece is fine and dense with bundles and bundles of crimp. Her 2012 cria, sired by LMFI Peruvian Playboy, says it all again. He stands with perfect conformity to show off his soft, crimpy, dense (for a cria) fleece. We have great expectations that Shotgun Blues will give his sire - Playboy - a run for the money. Her 2013 cria - XXXtreme Storm, again is a showing all the signs of being a great male. He is very bright, crimpy and we call him "Mr. Independent". And them we have HUDSON, her 2014 cria. He is a true black, black male with fleece that is simply amazing. His fleece is dense, fine, with a broad crimp and extremely bright.

What can I say about Claudia Raine!?! She is a beautiful, medium/light brown female, out of our first girl - Kiss Me Kate. Her fleece is extremely soft, with a handle that makes you want to hold on forever, bright and almost wet to the touch. Claudia walked into her first show as a juvi and took 1st in class under the critical eye of Jude Anderson. She had nice things to say about Claudia, including - "WOW, she is sure big for a juvi". as she handed her a blue ribbon. With her easy going disposition, exquisite conformity along with her exceptional fleece - Claudia will be a real asset to anyone's foundation herd. As we were trying to decide who to send to the Double O Good auction in 2015, Claudia came to mind, but as we looked at her, her fleece, her disposition, her conformity - we could only imagine what her cria would be like, if and when she is bred to Dorian. Genetics, Genetics, Genetics! CVAF Addison has superior genetics coming from both sides. Her dam is our SSF Peruvian Jericho’s Junebug, out of the infamous MFI Peruvian Jericho. Junebug has produced some phenomenal cria, and Addision is no exception. Her sire is XXXtreme Xclipse, a four-time Judges’ Choice winner and 6-time Color Champion, including the 2013 Futurity. Xclipse has sired some outstanding offspring from white and light to fawn. Each cria carries great style and phenotype, along with highly aligned fleeces and good character. All include amazing density, brightness and uniformity. Addison’s fleece exhibits all the characteristics mentioned above, in addition to notable conformity and presence. Addison comes with a breeding to any of Cabin View Alpacas’ herdsires, including Beethoven’s Dorian or TGF Freedom Fighter. Although not a name as renowned, one might want to consider Cayuga Sun of Cabin View, as well. Oh Ivy........ Ivy is a beautiful, young female out of Hobby Horse of a Different Color aka SPOTS. When bred to white, as in Ivy's dam, Spots will generally produce an indefinite - wearing spots like himself. But, not only does he throw the spots, he also passes on uniformity, brightness, fineness, and an all over wonderful fleece - which he did in the case of our Ivy. During 2014/2015 there was a young female - I love Lucy - that was taking the show ring by storm. She was out of a Spots offspring and Dorian. And, check out those Teddy Bear ears.

Laci is the result of a combination of some pretty awesome genetics. Beethoven's Dorian (4X Judges' Choice) and Aussie Shantilly Sunrise (Judges' Choice)- Aussie Maku. Laci does not disappoint. She has a pretty amazing fleece and is a beautiful young female. Laci's fleece sports a lovely crimp style that is combined with fineness, density and uniformity of micron and color. We knew Tabitha was something special the day she was born. Strong and healthy at birth, she has grown into a lovely female. Her conformity is outstanding and her fleece shows all the characteristics any breeder would crave to enhance the quality of their herd. Tabitha is a very dark brown with black points. Bailey is a real beauty! We are extremely pleased with this female sired by XXXtreme Xclipse (4X JC Winner) and Texas May. She is well proportioned and carries a lovely, crimpy fleece, along with fineness, uniformity and a luscious handle. If you're looking for density, this is your girl! She will make a powerful asset to any farms breeding program.

CRICKET!!!! Beautiful female from our multi-champion Juniper. Juniper was off the farm for a breeding, and was accidentally bred to an incorrect herdsire. Terrible mistake - we don't think so. If you check out her lineage, there are some fabulous genetics in the background, such as Snowmass Elite Legend. But, we will let Cricket speak for herself. She carries an brilliant white fleece, with a slightly broader, but beautiful crimp, all down through her belly and legs. Also, fine, quite dense, and feels, oh so nice! To top it off, Cricket is very sweet and gentle. One can always count on her for a "cheer you up" alpaca kiss.

Daphne is the first off spring sired by our banner winner - Drifter of Cabin View. Drifter is sired by the infamous Jumanji, so with his lineage, we were expecting (or hoping) for something spectacular. At first, ho-hum, but now - we have changed our tune. Daphne was born late in the year and was never "cria clipped", so we figured it would be hard to see what type of fleece she was carrying on her lovely conformed stature. Again, we were wrong. Even rolling in hay, picking up burr docks, her fleece has remained clean. So, a peak in this extremely long staple we see a very crimpy, fine, soft, luxurious fleece.

We are extremely pleased with what we see in Tori. Beautiful conformity with fleece that is crimpy, bright, uniform, and dense, to mention just a few attributes. She has a strong genetic pool, with Jeremiah, Snowmass XXXtreme Lecacy and Jericho to mention a few strong lines. (Yup, we're all for name dropping!) Comment from her 2021 Fiber testing: "I was impressed with the staple structure and alignment of fibers in the fleece of Crown Victoria - a near perfect commercial fleece in the most sought after micron category" Tori is being sold as a non-breeder. She is looking for that loving, forever home. She only deserves the best!

Whitney is looking nicer and nicer every day. We registered her as a bay black, but she is like a muddled skein of yarn or perhaps like a tortoise cat. Quite nice to look at. But now, after her first shearing she is developing into a beautiful DRG. Her fleece is extremely soft, dense and fine. Whitney is another lovely gal, that didn't have the opportunity to show off at the 2020 Spring shows. Whitney's dam is our multi-champion Shadow Dancer who is a producer of champions - Forest, Shadow's Rockstar and now.......Whitney!

CHANEL NO 5 "One of the reasons that designer perfumes is so EXPENSIVE is because it is often made with hard to harvest ingredients" CVAF Chanel No 5 is no exception. Sired by the infamous Sunset Hills Zagato and dam Stillmeadow Farm Coco Chanel - she come from some of the finest alpaca "ingredients". Check out the histogram stats on the beautiful shiny white fleece.

Rockin' and a Rollin' Miss Molly is an extremely nice young female, sired by Beethoven's Dorian. Dam is VAF Peruvian Texas May, bringing with her the Accoyo America Maximilian lineage. Her fleece is superb - fine, crimpy, uniform with a nice handle. Check out her 2022 histogram on our website. We see great potential in Miss Molly as a great addition foundation female for any farm or herd.

ENCHANTED – A True Delight Enchanted is a stunning young female, adorned in a rich, dark brown fleece with well-balanced, refined features. Her striking black points—accenting her ears and legs—make her presence all the more captivating. Though currently unproven, Enchanted's potential is undeniable. Our decision to reduce herd size has limited our breeding program, but her lineage speaks volumes. Her dam, Easy to Imagine, is a consistent producer of champion cria, and there’s every reason to believe Enchanted will follow in her footsteps. Little Suzie Suzie has a very strong genetic line, including Beethoven's Dorian and Accoya America Maximilian. She is a spunky little girl, and so far, really quite nice. We see a lot of potential in this gal. Born late in the season we are anxious to see how this little gal develops.

ALMOND JOY is as sweet as the candy bar she's named after. The girl carries a combination of some fantastic genetics. Snowmass Enlightenment, Snowmass XXXtreme, Beethoven's Dorian and XXXtreme Xclipse just to name "drop" a few. She has super soft fleece with a nice stable length for a years growth as a cria. AJ attended her first shows in 2023 Spring. Placing fairly well in some very competitive classes. Almond Joy will will be an asset to any farm/breeding program.

CVAF RIVIERA It all began with Coco Chanel, acquired at the POC auction. After being bred to Zagato, Coco Chanel produced the delightful Chanel No. 5, which went on to win several awards. When her show career concluded, she was bred to CCNF Tristan – and voilà, RIVIERA was born. Riviera is an elegant white female boasting exceptional genetics that include Elite Legend, Elixir, Zagato, and Beethoven – truly impressive! Meet Runner's Bandit Not only has Bandit inherited the fine qualities of his dam - producer of Champions - it sure looks like he is taking after his sire - 10x Champion and 2008 AOBA National Halter & Fleece Champion - RUMM RUNNER Bandit's conformity - like his dam - perfect! He stands proud and shows off a very fine and dense blanket of fleece. I hate to be a name dropper, but during Bandit's last several shows, both halter and fleece, when he didn't take 1st, he was standing next to CCNF, one of the finest farms in the business (pun intended). Bandit's first cria hit the ground running in July 2015 and while it's still early in the game - he looks stunning. Why are we willing to part with Bandit. We now have too many off spring from Dream A Little Dream, including another Jr. Herdsire - Cayuga Sun. Here is your chance to get a great Jr. Herdsire, with fantastic genetics at a reasonable price. What can we say about Maverick He is one stunning male. Stands very tall and proud, catching your eye as you walk into the pasture. He hails from exquisite lineage starting with Quixotic, who as a 7 year old male, took Color Champion at the tough and competitive 2014 North American Alpaca Show in MA. His dam - Dream a Little Dream, is also from top genetics, her sire being the infamous Dark Shaddow a true black male with many championships to his name. Put the two together and - VOILA' - MAVERICK!!!!!!

CVAF HOUSTON is a beautiful young male. His fleece exhibits all the characteristics that every upscale alpaca breeder is looking for. He is extremely fine with a beautiful crimp, nice stable length and uniformity. When Houston was only about two weeks old, he injured one of his rear legs. Although it was only sprained, he "hobbled" around for a few weeks. Not sure if this is why, but his left front leg now kicks out. There is no reason to suspect that this is genetic as both mom and dad have near perfect legs and any cria that I'm aware of have no issues. The young male should be considered for someone's high-end fiber program, or even give him a try as a breeding male when he is old enough.

Harlem has been a pleasant surprise and great addition to our herd. First born cria of Easy to Imagine. Although she carries great genetics, we were not sure what she would produce. Well, she produces --- GREATNESS! Harlem is a handsome, well mannered young gentleman, with a spot-on fleece. Harlem has captured the genetics from both his sire - Dorian - and his dams' sire - Jeremiah. Need I say more! Why sell him you ask? We co-own his sire Dorian and his dam has given us another extremely nice male out of XXXtreme Xclipse. Hard to choose, but we can only keep so many top-genetic herdsires. We don't have enough females to keep them all happy :-)

We are really impressed with this young male. Magnificent Seven was the 7th cria born to us in 2019, and the magnificent part - well, that speaks for itself. Seven has perfect conformity and his fleece is showing all the fine attributes of his multi-champion sire - Forest of Cabin View and multi-champion dam - Shantilly's Moonlight Serenade. Fletcher means a maker of arrows. Well, we think this guy is pretty sharp! Sired by SA Black Dynamo (Snowmass Midnight Diamante) Fletcher makes quite a statement. On the fence whether Fletcher is truly a Dark Brown or a Dark Rose Gray. A 20-minute discussion with the judges put him in the Dark Brown class at the 2022 Spring Shows. With cute little puffs of gray in his ears we're leaning toward the gray side. His fleece is extremely nice exhibiting all the characteristics for an top notch breeding program. Why would we let this remarkable male leave our farm? We already have some outstanding herdsires and there are just not enough girls to go around.

ICY MOON of CABIN VIEW Jupiter’s icy moon, Ganymede, is one of the most impressive moons in our solar system. So, it’s only fitting that we named Juniper’s 2024 cria ICY MOON. Much like his celestial namesake, ICY MOON is a marvel—both to the universe and to Cabin View Alpacas. This docile young male boasts an exceptional fleece, featuring a fine, crimpy texture with an incredible handle. Cinder is the first cria out of our Champion girl - Quatrain's Nightengale (Flo) She is a beautiful Bay Black or Dark Brown – depending on the light. As you can see from her pictures, she stands proud and exhibits great conformity. Her fleece is extremely fine and well below the national average. She hails from some very impressive genetics as well. Her sire is none other than ORLANDO CLOUD and her dam is QUATRAIN’S NIGHTENGALE a 5X banner winner during her show career. Hazel's sire is none other than Peruvian Lancaster. Not only is Lancaster's fleece consistent but so are his show winnings. He won 14 blue and the coveted Fawn Male Color Championship at MAPACA '04. Lancaster has been called, by more than one judge: "the total package". Lancaster has proven himself over and over with the quality of his offspring, and Hazel is no exception. We are really pleased with how Hazel has grown into a fine young lady - with perfect conformation and a nice disposition. Hazel first cria is a 21.6# baby girl. CVAF Daisy Mae is a beautiful yearling female with incredible genetics. Her sire XXXtreme Xclipse won 8 championships and 4 Judges’ Choice awards during his show career. Her dam, FT Sunflower, is out of Snowmass Rising Sun, who passed before his time and before his name was well known, but the few cria he produced went on to be award winning alpaca. FT Sun Flower was no exception. Daisy just ended her show career, finishing with 3 Championships and 4 1st place ribbons. Although an extremely friendly girl she was one of those alpacas that hated the show ring, and didn’t always put on the best show for the judges – but, she still did damn well. While not the finest fleece for a Light/Medium Fawn, she exhibits all the desirable characteristics in her fleece, from a beautiful crimp, a soft, cuddly handle and wonderful uniformity. Daisy is bred to Beethoven’s Dorian – a truly amazing herdsire, sporting 3 Judges’ Choice Awards, along with 13 Championships. He is putting some fabulous cria on the ground, and we would expect nothing but greatness out of this pairing. Daisy Mae will be a true asset for anyone’s foundation herd. The only reason we would consider letting Daisy get away, is we own her dam and sire – and hopefully can make a Daisy II.

Out of the comic book world of Super Hero's, Zatanna is a powerful magician who casts spells..... Let CVAF Zatanna cast a spell over you. Imagine our surprise when Zatanna first entered this world - the product of 5C's Captain Midnight, a true black male and Quatrain's Nightengale, a lovely bay black. Never did we think that the product of this combination would be a light fawn. However, Zatanna is also the product of two award winning alpacas, and she inherited great aspects from each side of the genetic tree, color aside. (And does that really matter?) She shows off a beautiful staple length, with lots of crimp, extremely fine and bright. If you look closely at her picture, you will see a black stripe across her nose. Willing to bet with her background, she will throw some nice color. UPDATE - Yup! She did. (See photo of Marvel) Zatanna took a 1st place, in her first show, at the new BAY STATE SMALL BREEDERS SHOW. Zatanna's first cria is a beautiful black male, sired by Stylish Enlightening and what a great mom she is. So far this little one shows all the magic from a great magician. We were anxious to show off this guy at the 2020 Spring shows, but of course that didn't happen. Perhaps this fall. Just look at the genetic pool this gorgeous female came from. Snowmass Matrix Majesty, Snowmass Matrix, Snowmass Legacy Gold, Accoyo America Jason and Greener Pastures Prince. Cici stands with a proud, perfect conformation, a stylish true to type head and a fleece that just glows in the morning sunlight. Cici has one of the finest fleeces on the farm with a buttery, almost silky feel and a beautiful structure, lock style and density. We are really pleased to add her to our lineup of quality foundation girls.

Goodness! What can I say about Ginger. Ginger arrived at our farm to be bred to one of our males. While here, her previous owners asked for some information so they could put her in an upcoming auction. I couldn't let that happen, so she stayed. :-) Beautiful girl, standing proud, showing off her beautiful stance. Then, once you put your hands on her, you will marvel at her handle, and finely crimped fleece. Ginger is better than any of the "Spice Girls" Why put her in the Openherd Auction you ask? The only logical reason is to reduce our numbers here on the farm. If she stays, we will breed her, adding more to the herd. Oh my. Ginger is bred to Marvel of Cabin View for a 2022 Summer cria.

Shantilly's Moonlight Serenade - Serena This young girl has turned out to be one of my favorite girls born here on the farm. A beautiful Rose Grey with great confirmation, along with a sweet disposition. This girl grabs your heart. Her fleece is everything you are looking for as well. We could use all the usual adjectives, but her show record and histograms, speak for themselves. Serena's 2020 cria is a beautiful - look alike - little girl. We were so impressed with this cria that we bred Serena back to Drifter. Watch for little Misty Moonlight in the 2022 spring shows. UPDATE: Misty Moonlight ended her show career with a very impressive record. Watch for further information on Misty.

SUMMER MEADOW We are totally smitten with Summer Meadow. From day one, Meadow was the perfect model - solid and well conformed. She exhibits an awesome fleece, no doubt pulled from the solid genetic pool of her background - Beethoven's Dorian and CCNF Legionnaire - just to drop a couple of names. Her fleece is fine, crimpy and bright with a luscious handle and decent staple length. MEADOW has grown into a beautiful young female. With her genetics, fleece, composition and disposition Meadow would be a huge asset for anyone's breeding program.

TEXAS PEARL Pearl is a beautiful female sired by 4X JC winner - XXXtreme Xclipse. Her dam, Texas May - was not too shabby either during her show career. Pearl's conformity is almost perfection along with her beautiful shiny white fleece. She has super nice handle with a very fine and soft feel. She is growing into a beautiful young lady and will make a wonderful foundation female for anyone's herd. We would love to keep her but we can't keep them all. PEBBLES! Beautiful medium brown female sire by our champion male - Shadow's Rockstar. Dam is one of our top producers - Easy to Imagine, hailing from the Jericho/Jeremiah line and not afraid to let you know it. Pebble is a gentle girl with lots of potential. Can't wait to see how she matures.

WAVERLY We were so impressed upon the arrival of this lovely female, that we bred the dam right back to the same sire. Check out our multi-champions Juniper and JC's winner - XXXtreme Xclipse. With this pairing a female such as Waverly was no surprise. Her fleece is bright, crimpy, dense, etc., etc., etc.
